The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) is a not for profit organisation that ensures the 1.7 million people who died in the two world wars will never be forgotten. The 760,000 dead who have no known grave are commemorated on some 200 memorials. We care for cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations, in more than 150 countries and territories.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Training and Office Advisor (maternity cover) to join our Mediterranean Area team. Based in Rome (Italy), the candidate will provide support to the Office and will be the front line person for the Training activities in Italy.
Main activities will include:
• Manage all the training activity and processes carried out through the training fund
• Manage any training subsidies with the appropriate authority and process
• Source and research appropriate training courses
• Collate feedback and suggestions for online training
• Coordinate training carried out in-house including sending out invitations, reserving and setting up rooms
• Check and record Travel Subsistence Allowance- TSA and expense claims
• Manage the administration of vehicles in Italy: insurance, purchase, sale or dismissal including the motorway bills
• Support other colleagues in the Rome office with ad hoc administrative tasks as and when required
• Translations when required
Knowledge and Qualifications
• Relevant Business university degree
• 2 years+ experience in Office Administration and training funds
• IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, Italian and English

Employment type – Temporary Maternity Cover
35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
